These terms govern your use of the GRade app and its community features. By using the app you agree to them. The short version: use the app for what it's made for, only share content you have the rights to, and be decent to the rest of the community.
GRade lets you build Image Control "recipes" for the Ricoh GR IV camera, transfer them to the camera over Bluetooth, and optionally share recipes with other users through a community feed. The app is provided free of charge by Mike Graumann (mike.graumann00@gmail.com).
The app communicates with your camera using the same kind of Bluetooth interface used by the manufacturer's own app. Writing a recipe changes the camera's Image Control settings in the slot you choose — the same changes you could make by hand in the camera menu. You are responsible for the settings you apply. We recommend noting your own custom settings before overwriting a slot.
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Sample photos are reviewed before they appear in the feed. Content can be reported in the app; reported content is hidden from the reporter immediately and hidden for everyone automatically once several reports come in. We act on abuse reports within 24 hours by removing the offending content and, for serious or repeated violations, permanently banning the user who posted it. You can also block any author so their content no longer appears for you.
The community feed is a free service run for a niche of camera enthusiasts. We aim to keep it available, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation, and we may modify or discontinue features. Your locally stored recipes always remain on your device and can be exported at any time.
The app is provided "as is", free of charge and without warranty of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and under mandatory statutory rules; for ordinary negligence we are liable only for breaches of essential contractual duties and limited to the typically foreseeable damage. Shared recipes are user content — we do not guarantee that any recipe produces a particular photographic result (that's half the fun).
GRade is an independent app. It is not made by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Ricoh Imaging Company, Ltd. "RICOH" and "GR" are trademarks of their respective owners. Use of the app is not covered by Ricoh's warranty or support.
We may update these terms; the current version is always available at this address. Substantial changes will be pointed out in the app's release notes. If you keep using the community features after a change, the updated terms apply.
German law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected.
